Manchester City are set to bolster their backroom staff by bringing Liverpool pundit James French to Pep Guardiola ‘s coaching staff.

French has been a match pundit at Liverpool since 2012 but is set to join City. Focusing on a more hands-on role as a coach and set-piece pundit.
Portugal-born French, who has worked as an opposition analyst for Liverpool since 2012. Is set to take up a role at the Etihad focused on set-piece coaching and analysis.
He joined the Reds under Brendan Rodgers and became an integral part of the pundit team under Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot.
French will now link up with Pep Lijnders again when he takes up a new role as Guardiola’s assistant manager shortly.
