United’s financial problems have seen Ratcliffe and Ineos make more than 250 staff at the club. And Mail Sport reported last week that a further 100 staff will be made redundant to free up first-team funds.

It is understood Ineos has taken into account the views of the 13-member FAB,
while fans have also listened to Ratcliffe’s views on the financial challenges the club face – but have been adamant that plugging the revenue gap with a price hike would not be effective. It
is the second meeting between the FAB and Ratcliffe, who have already pumped £241m into the club since they officially joined in December 2023, having held face-to-face talks last year. Talks are
expected to continue before United announce player contract extensions for next season.
